As a preclinical stroke scientist I have always been impressed by the scientific quality of the Neuroprotection and Neurorepair Symposia. It is an essential meeting not only to catch up on the latest developments in the field, but also to meet colleagues and students. The size and focus of the Symposium are just right to accommodate top notch science and foster interactions with your colleagues.
Regarding your conference, let me just say that I was very impressed by the extremely high scientific quality of the presentations, discussions and posters when I last attended it in Potsdam in 2012, as well as by the very high standards of the audience. Highly relevant clinical questions were consistently underpinning the experimental studies presented, giving to the conference a very strong translational flavour.

Following my previous experience at the International Symposium of Neuroprotection and Neurorepair I can anticipate that the upcoming 9th edition it will be an excellent opportunity for getting new perspectives and new ideas. This conference has the perfect dimension - not too large, not too small - just what needed for fruitful interactions. Top neuroscientists will get together to share their ideas to listen to yours. I strongly recommend attending this exciting conference!
The International Symposium of Neuroprotection and Neurorepair has long established itself as THE leading international platform for exchange with experts in the field. Every single meeting is highly enriching for the participants. Recommended as a MUST to keep up with latest developments in the field!
This is a great conference to get updated on recent topics in neuroprotection and neuroprepair, covering the entire range from basic science to clinical applications. It also offers a very pleasant setting to meet with junior and senior researchers. I always enjoy participating in this exceptionally well-organized meeting
I heard a lot of enthusiasm about the “Neuroprotection and Neurorepair Symposium”, and I have been impressed by the list of speakers and attendees in previous years. I am looking forward for exciting scientific exchanges, discussions and to meet colleagues and young scientists.
I have been attending this meeting for several years, and I find to be a great opportunity to get the latest developments in stroke research and translation. The presentations are exceptional, and the topics are carefully selected and at the forefront of the field. I strongly encourage those interested in stroke to attend this outstanding meeting.
Neuroprotection & Neurorepair symposium is especially attractive in terms of addressing interactive research ideas from interconnected basic and clinical evidences regarding brain plasticity and neural recovery.
Guido Kroemer is Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Paris Descartes, Director of the research team "Apoptosis, Cancer and Immunity" of the French Medical Research Council (INSERM), Director of the Metabolomics and Cell Biology platforms of the Gustave Roussy Comprehensive Cancer Center, Deputy Director of the Cordeliers Research Center, and Hospital Practitioner at the Hôpital Européen George Pompidou, Paris, France. His outstanding work on apoptosis and autophagy is of utmost relevance to the field. Being our guest for the first time, Dr. Kroemer looks forward to the interactive nature of the symposium and appreciates its high scientific quality.
The Neurorepair meeting is an excellent mix of basic science and translational medicine. It includes internationally renowned experts and young investigators and through its relatively small size the ideal possibility of fruitful exchange. I would not want to miss it.
This is an excellent meeting covering all the hot topics in neurorepair. The list of invited speakers promises an exciting scientific program by covering discussion on gene expression to challenges in clinical translation. I am especially looking forward to catching up with a many of my colleagues in the exquisite setting of the conference at the Leipzig Zoo!
I am really excited to participate in this meeting that brings to light exciting new results in the field of basic and clinical neuroprotection and neurorepair. It will be a great venue to exchange ideas, learn new concepts and possibly start new collaborations in this complex field of research.
This small meeting offers an excellent environment for scientific interchange and interaction of students with senior scientists, always in a friendly atmosphere with the best scientific quality and the latest innovations.
If you want to learn about Neurorepair in Europe, this is the place to be.
Innovative mix of basic sciences and translational medicine in the field of neuroplasticity.
The Int. Symposium Neuroprotection & Neurorepair is a classic and the most stimulating conference in this research field. It offers early career researchers and senior specialists an innovative science update fostering intense discussions.
„In previous years this has been a stimulating meeting providing a perfect overview about the field. I am looking forward to coming to Leipzig!”
„This meeting as a superb opportunity to connect to scientists at all levels and all kinds of neuroprotection, neurorepair and neuroplasticity research. Very useful for an academic neurologist.”
